Treasurer´s House and Garden

Dear readers,
today I came back home from a lovely vacation in England. Together with a group we visited both beautiful cities and gardens. Today I´d like to show you some pictures I took of Treasurer´s House and Garden in York. This house and garden was actually not in our tour program. However, we also had some ´free time´ every day and I asked my tour guide for some garden recommendations in York and she recommended me to visit Treasurer´s House and Garden. Since my first garden vacation in the South of England this June, I have been a National Trust member, which means that I can now visit almost all of their places for free. So far I loved all the National Trust Houses and Gardens. Their places are always so nicely decorated and the people working there are always very friendly. The same was true for Treasurer´s House and Garden-I absolutely enjoyed my visit in this lovely formal garden with its beautiful house. I especially liked the colour scheme used in the garden, mostly whites and blues and also some pinks and purples. I found it to be a very peaceful, calming garden. Hope you like the pictures!
Best wishes,
Lisa

I loved this beautiful blue-green door. I think it looks very inviting and fits the colour scheme of the garden perfectly.

In Austria I have never seen garden benches painted in blues, but since I first saw how garden benches in English Gardens  are painted in beautiful blues I have been loving such benches. I especially like the blue in combination with the brick wall. I think these two colours really compliment each other.

From the garden you get a good view of the York Minster.
