Spring and more space for gardening

Dear readers,
spring has finally arrived and I have been doing a lot of gardening recently in both my small garden and my parent´s big garden.  I have also been very busy shopping at garden centres. I displayed some of my new plants on the garden table in my parent´s garden. I have been gardening in my parent´s garden since August last year as my parents plan to move into a house with a small garden soon and I will take over their big garden. This is of course very exciting for me, since my small garden is full of plants already and there is absolutely no space for more. This "new garden" provides space for new plants and new ideas, which I am super excited about!

Iris reticulata Katharine Hodgkin

Cyclamen coum, which I absolutely love

Fritillaria michailovskyi

Galanthus nivalis

Helleborus orientalis

Iris reticulata Katharine Hodgkin

My iris reticulata, which bulbs I planted in autumn, is finally blooming.

Crocuses

Helleborus niger

I wish you great weather for gardening!
                                                                         Best wishes,
                                                                               Lisa

  1. Dear Lias, this is a wonderful opportunity to expend your gardening skills! Buying new plants, making new plans, growing new bulbs. Love to see more of your ideas. I have bought last week the same terracotta pot you showed on the table. Groetjes Hetty

  2. Hi Lisa, that is wonderful news that you get to take over your parent's big garden. I would be very excited about that as well!
I like the way you displayed your new plants on the garden table. You got some real beauties here. My favorites are the Iris reticulata 'Katharine Hodgkin' (I always fall for their light blue color) and the cyclamen coum.
I am curious to see where you will plant all these new beauties and how they will look integrated into a garden setting.
Sounds like you have a wonderful garden year ahead of you!
    Warm regards,
    Christina

    1. Dear Christina,
thank you for your nice comment! I´ve already got some ideas where I´d like to plant them, but for now I´d like to leave them on the table for some time. Yes, I think it will be all about gardening this year. I also booked a journey to England where I will visit rose gardens and other gardens in June. I am really looking forward to all of that!
      Best wishes,
      Lisa
