lately it has been pretty warm and all my tulips are in bloom. Everything looks lush green and I am happy with my recently made borders. Today I even saw the first rose bloom in my garden and I am looking forward to more rose flowers. I hope you are enjoying equally nice weather and some pretty blooms!

Dear Lisa, Since I am new at reading your blog I am trying to figure out where this part of your garden is located. Is this an Allotment? What ever it is it is lovely. I can't wait to see how your new borders fill in. Lucky you having your first rose. I love the swing in your garden. I think I would find myself there often. Löschenyes you figured right-it´s an allotment. I took over my parent´s flat as well as their allotment garden when they bought a house with garden about 1,5 years ago. Even though I loved my small former flat with small garden I was happy to have the opportunity to have more space for gardening. The allotment is about 4 times the size my former garden was and thus gives me so much more space for growing plants. Conveniently the allotment is just a three minute walk from the flat. The only thing I miss a bit, as I have already told you, is opening the terrace door and standing in my garden.
I am happy to hear that the weather has improved! It is so annoying if you want to spend some time in your garden, but the weather is preventing you from it. I won´t be in my garden today as it has been raining heavily all day long. However, today I don´t mind it. We had so much warmth and sunshine over the last weeks that I am sure some rain will do the plants good!

The design of your garden looks great Lisa! I like a formal garden. The tulips are superb. Last week I was at Keukenhof, and saw a lot of these peaony shape tulips. They are in fashion I guess! Groetjes Hetty
