Dear readers,
as you might know, I love roses. So when I read a garden magazine article featuring pelargoniums with rose-like flowers last year I wanted to have such a pelargonium myself. I was especially delighted by a picture of pelargonium Millfield Rose - probably the prototype of a pelargonium with rose-like flowers. Unfortunately I didn´t find this pelargoniums in any garden centre. This year I found an online shop specialising on pelargoniums and ordered some, one of them pelargonium Millfield Rose. When the plants arrived about a month ago, Millfield Rose had some tiny buds already and I could´t wait to see it bloom as I wanted to know if its flowers look rose-like indeed. And yes, seeing it bloom for the first time now, I think the flowers look lovely and very similar to the ones of roses. I´d love to hear if someone else is growing pelargoniums with rose-like flowers or any other varieties. As always, I am looking forward to your lovely and interesting comments!
Hope you enjoy!
Lisa

Dear Lisa, I have never seen these pelargoniums before. Indeed they are like tiny roses! Even the colour reminds me of old-fashioned ones. I guess they don't smell like roses, but who cares? lovely post. Groetjes,

Dear Hetty,
Löschenyou´re right regarding their smell. They don´t smell like roses unfortunately. Nevertheless, I am often finding myself smelling at its flowers. I guess I do it automatically, assuming they would smell as their flowers look like the ones of roses and then feel a bit disappointed when again I realise that they don´t smell.
Best wishes,
Lisa
