back when I was 15 I bought my own pottery oven and since then I have been enjoying doing my own ceramics for the garden. It is a great hobby, though quite time consuming and thus I do not always find time for pursuing my hobby and it gets a bit neglected from time to time. This year, however, seems to be a very creative one for me. I have been taking a lot of time for crafting my own ceramics for the garden as well as doing other garden projects, such as hypertufa. Today I´d like to show you one ceramic ornament I finished this week.

Well done! I don't know how you manage to do a thing like that . You must have a large oven. Groetjes Hetty
AntwortenLöschenThank you Hetty! It´s two parts, the base and the fruit urn, otherwise, as you assumed, the oven would have been too small.

Hi Lisa, this garden ornament looks great! It must have been a heck of a work to do this. I have such an admiration for people, who can do stuff like that.
AntwortenLöschenHope you can enjoy wonderful summer days in your garden!
Warm regards,
Christina
Dear Christina,
Löschenthank you for the compliment! It took me some hours to create it, but it is such a nice relaxing hobby. What´s a bit annoying is that it needs to dry for at least a week before it can go in the oven and then after being painted it goes in the oven for a second time. Thus, it took about two weeks till I could finally place it in my garden.
Thank you Christina, I wish you a nice time in England! I really enjoy the beautiful pictures from your England vacation you share on your blog!
Best wishes,
Lisa
P.S. Just read your new blog entry, made me realise that you´re already back home from England, thus wishing you sunny days in your garden!
